Nice to meet you here!
Have learnt that you company (Wal-mart) is auditing the TCL (one of the
biggest electrical appliance manufacturers in china), now, here are some
crucial information about this company we’d like to tell you, and hope it
would be helpful to your auditing on TCL.
The truth is that TCL refuse to comply with one part of the international
rules (SA8000), they deprived many HBV carriers of the right for work.
TCL has been famous for severe discrimination on HBV (hepatitis B virus)
carriers in china public; it’s easy for you to get some information about
this in Internet. At first, they publicly deprive the HBV carriers of rights
for work in their company, but this has put them into big trouble, so, they
have to change their policy, what’s their change? The change is that they are
pursuing the discrimination policy more underhandly, such as reject or dismiss
the carriers by some hypocritical pretexts. For example, if the employees or
candidates have been found be HBV carriers in TCL’s forcible
blood-examination, all these carriers would be considered as a sort of people
who are incapable workers.
In China, there are at least 0.125 billion HBV carriers, TCL’s discrimination
has caused intense resistance against TCL, them try their best to reject all
the products that made by TCL. It’s easy to see, if one HBV carrier can
influence the purchasing of other 10 persons around him (these 10 persons may
be his family members, friends and etc.), the number of influenced people can
be up to 1.25 billion, this is the population of almost the all Chinese,
therefore, this discrimination could result in a generally rejection against
the TCL’s products almost in the whole china. We are here not making an
overstatement about this serious result, just for there too many excellent
products made by other companies could instead of TCL’s.
Wal-mart, as a respectable multinational company, we hope you can spur TCL to
get rid of this discrimination against HBV carriers. As you know, there are
more than 0.125 billion HBV carriers in china, if our requirement would be
under your consideration, all of us will be very grateful, this consideration
must would be a “Three-win Method", all the Wal-mart, TCL and us could profit
from your consideration, such as improve your public reputation, increase your
sale and market shares. Of course we will try our best to fight against the
discrimination by a variety ways until no discriminations for work rights! As
one of the former simple of our fights, Zhou Yichao, one of our fighters, has
killed a recruitment manager and pierced another one for the HBV
discrimination.
